Sorry I missed a few days I was feeling a little under the weather last week. The good news is I am feeling much better now so back to the blog I go.
I got up and had my coffee, juice and oatmeal this morning. Then headed to work with anouther cup of coffee to get me through the morning.
For Lunch I had a Santa Fe Rice frozen dinner, a granola bar, a string cheese and a yoghurt. It was ll very good. Then after I got back from lunch our manager had brought in some cupcakes. I had a chocolate one with chocolate frosting. It tasted great and hit my sweet tooth just right.
After work when I got home I got in a little exercise as I did some manly things around the house. I scooped the drive way from the little now we had. It was to slushy for the snow blower so I had to pull out the old scope shovel to get the driveway and side walks cleaned off. Then I filled up the window washer fluid in the car since it had been empty for about a week.
For supper we made salad. I chopped up a head of lettuce and had some dressing, bacon bits, cheese, croutons and sour cream in a taco shell bowl. It was good but not amazing. I really needed some taco meet or chicken in it. Then after supper I had two chocolate rice cakes for desert.
So I got in a little exercise and didn't eat overly bad so I am going to call it a good day.
I am Fat and I was a computer Programmer. I have been sitting at a desk for a long time and it is time to lose some weight!

February 6th
No exercise and not the best eating today. I need to start exercising in the morning before work. I think I( have devised a good indoor work out I just need to get up and do it. Since our basement is cleaned out I am going to walk/jog laps down there. Then in the middle or at the end, I have not decided witch yet, I am going to do a push up and sit up regiment. I just need to get myself a good nights sleep so I can start getting up and doing it.
I got up and had a cup of coffee, a glass of juice and a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. Then I made my self another cup of coffee to take to work with me and left it on the counter. It really made my morning drag because I was tired.
For lunch I had the left over Chinese food from last Friday. It was sesame chicken, some steamed rice and some fried rice. I also had a Twix at the end of lunch. Also before and after lunch I had some cookies that a co-worker had brought in. I had two chocolate chip cookies, two rolo cookies and a Oreo ball. I know I had to many but they were just so good and so close. I am going to try and restrain myself tomorrow since there will still be some left at work.
Late in the afternoon I got an email from our real estate agent about the people who looked at our house last week. She had told me on Sunday that it was down to our house and another house. Apparently at the last second they decided to build a house instead of buy. It was nice to know that someone liked our house enough to have it in their final two. It also kind of sucked that they didn't buy it. But if one person liked it then hopefully we will get someone else who likes it soon.
That kind of put a damper on the evening but my wife got home and we watched some TV and had supper. We had left over supper bowl food. I had 4 pieces of pizza and 6 left over chicken wings. They all warmed up surprisingly well. The pizza really surprised me. I just threw back in the oven for about 7 minutes and it came back out crisp and delicious.

Movie Review of Ides of March
The Ides Of March was a enjoyable political drama. I mean how could you really go wrong, look at all the great actors in it. The over all story was good and the acting as you would guess was top top notch. It did drag a few times but over all it kept up a pretty good pace.
The entire movie revolves around the Democratic Primary in Ohio between two candidates. The main focus is on the campaign of Governor Mike Morris, played by George Clooney, and his staff as they try work to get him the Democratic nomination for president.
There are a lot of shady things that happen behind the scenes of the campaign and you can't help but think that it is a pretty accurate depiction of modern day politics. You have people leaking things to the press, people getting paid off, blackmail and political favours to get votes. It did a good job of keeping you guessing on how every thing was going to fall into place in the end. The cynical side of me can't help but think that things ended in the movie exactly the way the do in real politics. With people making sacrifices for what they think is greater good. Is the greater good really worth all the collateral damage? That is a question I can't answer for you.
What I can answer for you is the question of should I watch this movie, and that is a resounding yes. It is worth adding to your Netflix cue just for the acting alone.
I give this movie 3 out of 4 Stars.

February 5th
Today I got a little exercise again because of the snow. Eating not as good due to my anual bad eating during the supper bowl.
I did not get my breakfast I this morning. I got up and did some blogging and cleaning and before I knew it it was noon. I did have a few cups of coffee though. The exciting thing was I had them with no creamer in them just straight black. I am pretty happy I am doing that. I will still probably use creamer in the early morning before work but it is nice to know I don;t need loads of creamer n my coffee any more.
For lunch we had some grilled cheese sandwiches and some cheddar sun chips. It was a nice little pre-Super Bowl meal.
After lunch I changed the kitty litter and took it and the garbage from the kitchen out. Then I pulled on a sweatshirt and cleaned off the front step and scooped off the bottom of the driveway where the snowplow had left a nice wall of wet heavy snow for me. I counted the cleaning and then scooping as my exercise for the day.
After I got back in side I got some food ready for the Super Bowl. I threw some chicken wings in the crock pot, made some lemonade and browned a pound of hamburger and pork sausage to put on our pizzas we were making later. Then I sat around and watched Super Bowl Pre-game the rest of the day.
About 4:30 a friend of ours came over to watch the Super Bowl with us. He has been having a tough time in his personal life so we spent the first half watching the game and commercials, munching on our snacks and talking with him. During the first half I had five chicken wings, plate dip and ships and M&Ms. I also had a few glasses of beer I got for Christmas. Then at half time I made two pizzas. One was a peperoni and pork sausage pizza, the other was a pepperoni and hamburger pizza. The both turned out great. I had three piece of the pork sausage pizza and one piece of the hamburger pizza and a can of beer. Then we watched the rest of the game and tried to keep our friend in good spirits until he left.
Over all it was a nice night but a little on the depressing side. I felt bad for my friend but glad that I had a wonderful wife who loves me through all the difficult time we have been through in the last year.

February 5th Weigh In
Not a good week is what I have to say about this. I gained a pound and a half putting back up to 312.5. I had a feeling with all the eating out that things would not go well. I did do well on Friday and Saturday not going out to eat and I am going to focus on that this coming week as well. Once in awhile we need a set back to refocus our selves. Trying to add some more daily exercise wouldn't hurt me either. :)

February 4th
Well the snow storm hit last night and it looks to be as big as they said it was going to be. When we got up the yard, and every thing else, was covered in a thick heavy snow. The news said we already had six inches on the ground and there was still another four to seven inches to come. My wife had to work this morning and I didn't want her driving in this weather by her self so I drove her downtown in the truck. The side roads in our neighborhood would have been almost impassible in a car but the main roads were not terrible just snow packed and icy. I go her downtown and decided I didn't want to drive back in these crappy roads only to turn around and make the same trek again in a few hours. so I parked behind her work and walked across the street to the downtown The Egg and I. I was going to be down there for a few hours so I was glad I had the foresight to bring my Kindle with me to read. There were not to many people there so I got a lot of attention from my server. When I said i wanted a cup of coffee he spent a great deal of time explaining their coffee choices and how they make them. I chose the Rain Forest Bold. He said they grind the coffee beans fresh to order for each pot they make. I also asked for cream with it. Much to my surprise I did not need the cream, the coffee was amazing. I am going to say it is probably the best coffee I have ever had. When he brought my coffee I had still not made a decision as to what I wanted. I asked him what was good and he recommend their Eggs Benedicts. I had never had an Eggs Benedict before but I though i would give them a shot. I went with their Parisian Benedict. it was a buttery croissant half layered with shaved ham, sautéed portabella mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese. Topped with two poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and green onions. It also came with their ranch potatoes, he told me that they bake the potatoes with ranch and garlic spices in the oven then finish them on the flat top grill to order. Lastly I ordered a side of bacon as well. It was all AMAZING! I can say out side my trips to Disney World this is the best breakfast I have ever had. It was all so good and the service was great. I can say with out a doubt that I will be coming back again and I will bring my wife along so she can try it as well.
After I finished eating I sat and read my book and continued to drink the delicious coffee. I had started reading a new book called Citizen Soldiers by Stephen E. Ambrose. It is a book about the GI solders in the US army during WWII starting with the invasion of France on D-Day all the way until the defeat of Germany. I have read Ambrose's Band of Brothers and loved it so when I saw this on sale for a dollar ninety nine on Amazon one day I could not pass it up.
Well about nine thirty my server at The Egg an I came over and told me they were closing early due to the weather. I was a little disappointed but he gave me a big cup of their coffee to go. So i headed to the front and paid then walked back across the street to my wife's work and spent the rest of the morning there reading in their waiting area.
Finally noon rolled around and my wife's work closed so we headed home. The main streets were really good down town when we left but the farther you got to the edge of town the worse they got. On our way home I stopped and tried to help on girl who had gotten her car stuck. Unfortunately for her it was to high centered to get out with out a tow rope and a tractor. I made sure she was ok. she was calling her boy friend to pick her up, and headed home. When I got home the drive way had a lot more snow on it then when we left. so I got my boots on and pulled out the snow blower. Unfortunately the snow was very deep and heavy so it took me about four passes of the driveway to get it cleaned off. It took me about an hour to get the driveway and the sidewalks cleaned off but it was good exercise.

When I came back in my wife and I had some lunch. We made some pizza pockets that really hit the spot after being out in the cold for the last hour. Then I had a yogurt to finish off my lunch. After lunch we got caught up on some TV all afternoon. About 4 we got a call fro our relator about canceling the open house due to the weather. We decided that between the weather and the Super Bowl tomorrow we would not get a lot of people so we cancelled it and settled in for a nice night in.
About seven we finally decided to remove our selves from the couch and make some supper. My wife made Hash-brown casserole. I added a little of my new Buffalo Tabasco sauce to it and it gave it just the right amount of zing. After we ate we settled in for a movie. We had gotten The Ides Of March from netflix. It was a really good movie I would recommend it if you like political dramas. While we were watching the movie I had a bowl of ice cream. Who doesn't want some ice cream when there is a final total twelve to thirteen inches of snow on the ground?
I would say I ate pretty well today and with the snow blowing I got my exercise in. I will probably need to do a little snow clean up tomorrow but nearly as much as I did today.

February 3rd
Today was suppose to be rainy then turn to snow at some point. I didn't get up and walk again because I was tired and lazy. Plus I didn't have to pack any lunched today so it meant I could sleep in a little more. Over all the eating was ok for the day but there was no exersies to speak of.
For breakfast I got up and had my coffee, juice and oatmeal just like normal. Then I headed to work with another cup of coffee.
Since it was suppose to be rainy and or snowy today my coworkers and I had decided to order lunch in today. We ordered from a little Chinese place called Zhang's. I ordered sesame chicken, my favorite if you can't guess, with fried rice, an egg-roll and half an order(4) of crab rangoons. I ended up getting both steamed rice and a side of fried rice. The food was really good and the crab rangoons were great! I could not finish all of it so I put it in the fridge down stars by the break room for lunch on Monday. I was pretty proud of my self that I didn't just keep eating because it was in front of me. After lunch the afternoon just seemed to drag on and on. around 3:30 in the afternoon I started to get a little hungry again, as is the case with Chinese food. so I headed down to the vending machine and got a snickers. It really hit the spot and kept tided over until supper. It did not help to make the afternoon go any faster though.
After I got home we had to run back to Wal-Mart to take back the shower curtain my wife had gotten for our bathroom. The shower curtain just didn't work in the bathroom the way we had hopped. This was a terrible choice. Wal-Mart was a mad house because of the impending snow storm. Luckily after we got the new shower curtain my wife thought of checking out at the jewelery counter instead of standing in one of the long lines at the check out lanes. That saved us about thirty to forty five minutes I think. Then we headed home and put the shower curtain up and it looks really nice.
After that we made some Mmmm Noddle Soup. It really hit the spot on a cold rainy night. We also had some Ranch potato ships as well. After supper we watched some TV had some little apple crisp things my wife had bought at the store. They were little cups of apples in a sauce then after you heated them up for twenty seconds they had a little thing of oats to pour on top. They were really good and rounded out the evening nicely.

February 2nd
I had intended on getting up and walking this morning before work but I was still catching up on sleep from my month of working seven to four so I slept in. I Did get up and have my breakfast. I had a cup of coffee, a glass of juice and a bowl of oatmeal. I have noticed that when I eat breakfast I have a little extra pep in my step in the morning.
For lunch I had another Hawaiian Hot Pocket, a string cheese, a yoghurt, and a granola bar. I was still a little hungry so I got a Twix from the Vending machine during lunch.
After work I headed to class. I got there and went to the student lounge to do some reading in my book. When got near the student lounge it seemed very busy around there. Then I realized there was a high school basketball game going on in the gym across from the student lounge. I was lucky I did not have any money on my because they had the concession stand set up in one of the entry ways in to the student lounge and the hot dogs smelled amazing!
While I was at class my wife had run home and done some cleaning up because we had some one coming to look at our house. It was their second time through the house and our agent called them a strong possible buyer. This really excited me because we had been felling a little down about the whole process. So my wife did a little sprucing up then took the cat over to my sisters and went to the store. She was then going to pick the cat up on her way home. The thing is there is a big snow storm predicted for Friday night into Saturday so the stores were a mad house. So by the time I got done with class she was just leaving the store. So I stopped and picked the cat up on my way home and she went straight home to unpack the food she had bought. Class had run a little late so by the time I got the cat it was 8:30. I figured the last thing my wife wanted to do after being trapped at the store in craziness was make supper. So I stopped at DQ (Dairy Queen) and got us some food for supper. I had a double cheese burger, fries and a lemonade. Then my wife and I split an order of cheese curds.
This marked basically the fifth time in 6 days I had eaten out at fast food. Not only am I getting tired of fast food it can not have a good reflection on the scale this weekend. I need to get back at eating at home. Plus Out of all of those meals I was not overly impressed with any of them. I feel like we make better food at home. So next week and the rest of this week is a refocus on eating at home and not going out to eat as much.

February 1st
Today I ate pretty good. The exercise thing I will cover but I think it was exercise.
I bet you can't guess what I had for breakfast. I had coffee, a glass of juice and a bowl of oatmeal. Then I had another cup of coffee at work and I only put one little cup of creamer in it. I am trying to work my way to black coffee because it is so much healthier for me.
For lunch I had to run some errands so I stopped at Amigos on my way back to work and grabbed some lunch. I had four soft tacos. I know that is a lot but they were the special for the day so it was cheaper to get 4 then it was to get three like I wanted. If you have ever been to Amigos you know you have to eat the tacos while the are hot or they get gross.
After work we decided to do some cleaning and de-cluttering based on some feed back we got from a showing a few weeks ago. They said the closets were too full and the bathroom was dirty. So we cleaned out the closets. We took some stuff downstairs to the storage room and some stuff out to storage. Then we moved some things from the office closet to the spare bedroom closet. The closets did look a lot better when we were done. My wife also put some more clothes in space bags to take out to storage as well. As for the dirty bathroom the only ting I could think of was the walls in the master bathroom. I had never really cleaned them since we decide to put the house up for sale. So I got out the vinegar, paper towels and the step stool and started cleaning the walls in the master bath. It took me a little while but I got all the walls cleaned and it made a surprising difference to the look of the room. Hopefully this will make the house a little more appealing to the next person that looks at it and we can get the damn thing sold.
I decided that I am going to count all the work we did as exercise for the day. It took us a few hours to get it all done. So I think a few hours of cleaning is equal to about twenty minutes of exercising.
We finally got home at about 8:30 from the storage unit and showered. For supper we had our left over chicken. I had two chicken breasts and bowl of cottage cheese with bacon bits in it. It was a really good meal but I know that eating at almost nine in the evening is not overly good for me. We use to eat at nine almost every night when we were getting the house ready to put on the market, I don;t know how we did that for months on end.

January 31st
Today turned out to be a good day over all for all my goals of eating and exercising. I ate good all day and got some exercise in. I am pretty happy with my self after the chicken debacle yesterday.
I started they day out the usual way. I had some coffee, juice and a bowl of oatmeal. This is a nice routine I am in and I can tell it helps me get going in the morning. When I miss my breakfast the morning seems like it takes a little while to get going.
For lunch I had the left over Red Lobster from Sunday. That was a bit of a disappointment, fish and shrimp do not warm up well in the microwave I now know. I also had a yoghurt, a string cheese and a granola bar.
After work I headed to school. I spent 25 minutes walking outside around the parking lots. Once it again it felt great walking out side. I can't wait until spring when I can do it all the time. It was also the first time this month that I got two consecutive days of walking in. After my walk I did a little homework in the computer lab and read some chapters in my book for class. I learned some fun stuff in the book, that makes me feel a little like a nerd but I am ok with that. In class we spent time working on a new class project of a marina. It has a lot of different classes and some that will use inheritances and other new things that will be useful to put to practical use after reading about them.
After class I stopped by Runza and grabbed some food on my way home. I got each of us a temperature Tuesday deal. It has a Runza, a medium fry and a medium drink, I got lemon aid as my drink. I also got a bowl of cauliflower cheese soup. I was happy that I have not kept my streak of not up-sized my drink and side yet this year intact again. After supper I had a oatmeal raisin cookie we had in the cupboard while I watched TV.

I am going to be honest I made a huge food misstep today. On the bright side I got some exercise in.
I started the day with some coffee, a glass of juice and a bowl of oatmeal before heading to work. I had some coffee on the way to work.
For lunch I had a Spicy Hawaiian hot pocket. It was delicious. It has ham and pineapple in it then some chipolte spices. It is sweet and spicy all at the same time. I also had a string cheese, a granola bar and some buffalo and ranch Doritos.
When I got home my wife and I went for a walk outside because it was so nice out. We walked around the neighbourhood for about 30 minutes. It felt really good to go outside and walk. To bad this nice weather probably will not last until spring.
My wife needed to get gas in her truck. So after our walk we took the truck to get gas and decided to grab some food on our way home and that is when I made my eating misstep. We choose Popeyes and we got chicken, biscuits and two sides of rice. I ate way to much chicken and rice and after I was done I realized that I had eaten to much. Now I need to work all that extra fat and calories off the rest of the week.

January 29th
I want to start out by wishing my Mom a Happy Birthday! We spent the afternoon with my family for her birthday. We went to Red Lobster for lunch. This was the first time I have ever been to Red Lobster as an adult. It was good but nothing I am rushing back to. I think the server we had really hindered my experience, she was not that great and it took us for ever to get our food and get out. We got there at 12:15 and did not leave until 2:00. That is a little long for my taste but over all the food was pretty. I had the Admirals Feast, a caesar salad and cheesy biscuits. I got my salad pretty quick so I ate that and it was pretty tasty but nothing I couldn't have gotten at any restaurant in town. It took forever to get our entries as I mentioned before so I filled up on to many of their cheesy biscuits. I will say that the cheese biscuits were very good. Finally I got my entrée, it had two pieces of fried cod, some fried baby scallops, fried clam strips and fried shrimp. I also got a side of a baked potato. The fish was cooked well and the coating was very good. The Shrimp was really good and the baby scallops were delicious. The clam strips were ok but I don't think I would get them as their own meal. Because of the biscuits I ate waiting for my meal I couldn't finish my meal so I ended up boxing up half of it. My wife didn't finish hers either so we are having left over Red Lobster for supper on Monday night. Over all the food was very good and it was the type of food that I can't really get any where else in town. Over all I would give the food a good grade but the service a close to fail. For my taste if I am going to drive to that part of town there are other restaurants I would rather eat at.
After we ate we headed back to my sisters house. Mom and Dad stooped at TCBY Yoghurt and picked up a cake on their way to my sisters. When we got there we went down stairs and played some kinect games with my nephew. Mom and Dad both played a dancing game with him and they were pretty funny to watch. Then I played Carnival Games with him. He wanted to play the Skee Ball game. The sad thing is that he beat me. In my defence it did take me a few throws to figure out how the angels worked. Then my wife played a rocket ship game with him, she beat him.
After we got done playing games we went up to the kitchen and had the cake Mom and Dad had brought. It was a peanut butter frozen yoghurt cake. It was really good but when is frozen yoghurt not good.
When we got home we played some games and did some laundry before supper. For supper I made two egg sandwiches each with one and a half eggs on them. They were really good and hit the spot on a night when I was not starving. My wife made some pop corn for her supper and I munched on that a little bit while we got caught up on the three episodes Fringe(Great show you need to watch it so they don't cancel it!) we had on the DVR.
We didn't have anything to eat before we went out with my family and eating breakfast every day is something I need to work on. We did do some cleaning before we left to get ready for our open house we were having while we were gone. So I am going to count the cleaning and the kinect game as a little exercises even if it is a stretch.

Movie Review of Crazy, Stpuid, Love
This was a great movie about all the different types of love in the world and the people who fall into them. You have first time love, unrequited love, new love and old love. What is great about this movie is how it brings them all together seamlessly and keeps the whole movie moving while doing it.
The movie starts out and mostly revolves around Steve Carell's Cal Weaver and his Wife Emily, played by Julianne Moore, ending their marriage after 25 years. Cal loses everything his wife, his house and even his best friends(His wife says they as a couple have chosen to support Emily not Cal). Cal tries to move on and meets up with the shallow womanizer Jacob, played to perfection by Ryan Gosling, at a bar. Jacob take it upon him self to help Cal. He does this by changing the way he dresses and looks and showing Cal how pick up women at the bar. Eventually Cal picks up his first woman for a one night stand, Marisa Tomei, and starts turning into a womanizer like Jacob. He eventfully realizes at parent teach conferences with his ex-wife Emily, that she is the one he really loves. I don't want to ruin any surprises so I am just going to say that things end up not going well.
That was the old love story but then they tie in a fun little new love story as well. As Cal is at parent teacher conferences having his heart broken and stomped on we see Jacob run in to a girl he hit on at the beginning of the movie again named Hannah and played perfectly by Emma Stone. All she wants is for Jacob to take her home if you know what I mean. They end up back at Jacob's place and end up spending the entire night talking falling asleep next to each other. Once again I don't want to ruin anything for you so I am not going to go on any further about this story line. I will say that Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling make a cute couple.
Lastly the person who stole the show for me was Cal's son Robbie. He is 13 and in love with his babysitter who is 17 and a senior in high school. Needless to say she is not interested in him, she is actually interested in Cal witch leads to a whole different hilarious mess for Cal. Her unrequited love does not stop Robbie from endlessly pursing her through the entire movie. I have not seen Jonah Bobo in anything before but he did a very good job of playing a young teen in love and stuck in the middle of his parents divorce at the same time.
In the end this movie shows us that love can make us crazy and stupid and that not all love is not meant to be. But everyone does have a soul mate we just have to wait for them then make sure we work to keep them when we do find them.
I give this move 3 out of 4 Stars

January 28th
Today I slept in and din;t eat any breakfast. Over all it was a fun day but not the best health wise. We were suppose to have some friends over today but their daughter was sick so we postponed it until next week. So instead we spent the day being lazy, witch is always nice.
I pretty much spent from nine until 6 playing Batman: Arkham City on my Xbox. I got the main story finished for Batman and for Catwoman and beat some of the side missions. Now I have to decide if I want to continue and beat all the side missions or not. If I do I am looking at probably another twenty or thirty hours playing this game. Or I can movie on to another game. I have not made decision yet but it might be a week or two before I play video games again so I have some time to think.
I did take a brief break to eat some lunch with my wife. I had the last bowl of chicken noodle casserole while we watched an episode of Storage Wars we had on DVR.
Finally around 6 we decided we should eat some supper. Since our friends were coming over next week now we decided to save all of the food we had for tonight until next week. So we mulled over our options and decided to go out to eat. We narrowed it down to a few places but Taco Bell won out because it was cheap and we didn't have to change out of our around the house shirts and pajama pants we had one. I had 5 tacos and a cheesy gordita crunch. I t all tasted pretty good but I had also ordered a Beefy Crunchy Burrito that they for got to give us.
After we got done eating and watching an episode of 90210 we put in a movie to keep our Saturday Night Movie streak at four. We watched Crazy, Stupid Love. It was a really fun and cute movie. So I was still a little hungry after we ate so I had a larger then necessary bowl of ice cream during the movie. I know I have said it before but ice cream is like my kryptonite. I have such a problem eating it in proper portions. It is for sure something I can work for the future.

Today I worked 9-6 today so my routine was a little off this morning and I missed breakfast. I did get my cup of coffee I though.
For lunch I had to run some errands so I grabbed some food on my way back to work. A few co-workers had been talking about Chinese food and I was really craving it. So another coworker pointed out that there was a Chinese place in a little strip mall by where I was heading. I had seen the place before and it seemed a little sketchy but she said she knew some people who had eaten there and it wasn't to bad. As I headed out to lunch I still wasn't sure where I was going to eat but in the end the pull of the chines won and I went there. It was called The Magic Wok and the magic is that I didn't die. There were just two old Chinese dudes in there and no customers. On of then was surfing the internet on a computer in the corner of the dining room. I almost left but though i would give it a chance. I ordered their Sesame Chicken dinner, I didn't even know what that included but i was fairly sure it was $6.95. I was wrong it was only $5.95 so right off the bat I was thinking that if this place was good I would be coming back. So i got the food and headed back to work. The meal included sesame chicken that was pretty good. Fried rice that was very good and a crab ragoon that didn't have much in it but was ok. Then I sat back and waited to see if I died of food poisoning. Since I didn't die of food poising and the food was pretty good and cheap I will be going back I think.
I didn't get off work until 6 witch really sucked but my wife had run up to her parents that afternoon for a appointment so she wouldn't be home until later. So I headed home and got a few things done I needed to do. I got all my mileage copied down to paper from my phone and scanned it and sent it in to my case worker for my school grant so I can get reimbursed for the mileage. While I did that I was fielding text messages from our friend that was suppose to be coming over tomorrow about his sick daughter. I also took a long call from my in-laws because they broke their TV and couldn't get it to work. Finally I got my mileage in and my wife got home. She had eaten supper with her parents but I had not yet. So we settled in to watch the series finally of Chuck we had been DVRing and I had two left over bowls of the chicken noodle casserole from last night. I was pretty proud of my self because that was all I had the rest of the night.
So Over all I didn't over eat to much, the Chinese probably wasn't the healthiest meal but hey it didn't kill me. LOL I did not end up getting any exercise in but I am hoping for a really good exercise week next week.

January 26th
Today was pretty good for food and exercise. I haven;t said that since I started blogging again so I am happy!
The one disappointment of the day was the morning. I had to get a few things done around the house before I left this morning so I ran out of time to eat breakfast. So I just took my pills with some water and had a coffee on the way to work. Then at about 11 I was starving so I went down and got some Pop Tarts out of the vending machine and ate those. Probably not the best morning of eating but still not bad.
Since I had had Pop Tarts at eleven thirty I was not overly hungry at lunch. I had my frozen dinner, Santa Fe Rice and Beans, with some Doritos.
When I got to school I went on a 25 minuet walk around the school halls. I really got my heart rate going walking at a brisk pace. I also went up and down a few flights of steps. Over all it was a pretty good exercise experience and I felt better, and a little warmer, when I was done.
Then I hit the computer lab and finished up my horse race program that was do tonight. I was pretty happy with the way it turned out. I wish I would have had a little more knowledge when I started it because I would have done things a little different but by the time I thought of a better way to do thinks I was already waist deep in the program so I just made it work.
After class I came home and my wife had made us chicken and noodle casserole for supper. It was really good and I had was really hungry so I had two bowls of it. But on the bright side I didn't have anything else the rest of the night while we watched TV.

January 25th
Good day for food and I am going to count my running around stores after work as exercise.
Got up and had my coffee, juice and oatmeal per my new routine this morning.
For lunch I had a can of potatoes ham chowder, a yoghurt and a granola bar. I have come to realize that these cans of soup are very filling. I think I am going to start splitting them into two containers and having a can last for two days.
I got a text that someone wanted to look at our house after lunch so after work I headed home instead of doing some errands I had planned on doing on the way home. I tided the house up a little bit and loaded the kitty up in her carrier. I dropped the kitty off in my sister basement bathroom and headed out to run my errands. Since we had to be out of the house for awhile my wife and I decided I would run my errands and then we would meet at Wal-Mart and get groceries for next week.
First I went to Menards to return a water filter for our fridge. I had bought the wrong one when we had been at Menards a few weeks before. After I did the return a ran to the back of the store and grabbed the correct filter then checked out and headed to my next destination.
Next I went to Bed Bath and Beyond. I had bought a coffee filter there before Christmas and it did not fit the coffee maker I had, plus I had gotten a new coffee maker since then as well. The took it back with no hassle and I hoped in the car to go to my next stop.
Next I stopped at Sam's Club to pick up some baby aspirin and regular aspirin that my wife and I take for medication. I also grabbed another box of granola bars because we were almost out. After checking out there I headed to my final destination.
My last stop was Wal-Mart to meet my wife and get groceries. I was a little early so I went to look at some ting in the electronics. I had a Wal-Mart gift card that I had been hoping to use to buy an Amazon gift card but I found out after walking around the electronics for awhile that they no longer carried Amazon gift cards. I then spent some time looking through the games and eventually decided I would wait and use the gift card to buy the new Muppets movie when it cam out in march. About that time my wife called and let me know that she was at the store. We meet u pin the pet food area and then headed out to collect all the groceries we needed for the next week. When we had everything and we were ready to check out I left to go pick the cat up while she checked out and headed home. It timed out perfectly. I got home and took the cat in and then she got home right after me.
While I unloaded the groceries my wife started making supper for us. She made us turkey bacon and eggs and I also had four slices of toast with cinnamon butter. It was a very good meal.
After supper and a shower I had a bowl of ice cream while we watched some TV. I need to work on my portion control here. I had way to much ice cream.
In closing I am going to count all my running around in all the stores I went to tonight as exercise because I did a lot of walking even if it was not continues it is still better then nothing.

January 24th
Today I got in some exercise and ate pretty well. I was very pleased with the day over all.
I got up and had breakfast as usual. I had my coffee, juice and oatmeal.
For lunch I had a can of beef and country vegetable soup, a yoghurt and a granola bar. It was surprisingly filling.
After work I headed to school for my class. Getting off at 4 lets me get to school with plenty of time to spare. So as soon as I got thee i started walking the halls at a brisk pace. I kept it up for a little over twenty minutes with out stopping. I was pretty proud of my self. After I got done walking headed to the computer lab and had an epiphany with an assignment I had been working on. I had been doing a for loop while trying to find the differences in two lists. It had worked but I had to do two for loops to get the correct results. I finally figured out to use a Do Until loop and I could do all the processing in one loop instead two. I was pretty happy with the results. Take that computer I win again! LOL
After class I stopped and grabbed some temperature Tuesday Runza deals on my way home. They also had cauliflower cheese soup today so I got a bowl of that for my self as well. It was all really good and stuck with my routine of not large sizing my meal. I am getting back to the no need for large sizing my fast food meals. I mean a non-large sized fast food meal is bad enough for me.

January 23rd
Today was a OK day for eating but no exercise. Today was the first day of our 100 day fitness challenge through my wife's work so I need to start getting moving.
When I got up I had some coffee, juice and a bowl of oatmeal. I think that my eating breakfast might have helped with my weight loss last week. I remember reading one time that eating breakfast will get your metabolism going earlier then if you don't eat breakfast. So I am going to try and keep this breakfast thing up.
For lunch I had a hot pocket, a yoghurt and a granola bar. You know, the usual fair.
For supper we made another batch of cinnamon rolls and had the rest of the Chilli from Saturday night. I had two bowls of chilli and four cinnamon rolls. I probably should not have had four cinnamon rolls but they were just so darn tasty with the chilli.

Review of Friends With Benefits
This movie was a cute, fun, predictable Rom-Com. What made it good was the chemistry on screen between Justin Timerlake and Mila Kunis. That is really where is Romantic Comedy is made or broke. The movie No Strings Attached earlier this year was basically the same story line but Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman never clicked for me and I didn't really care about what happened to them and that brought the whole movie down. In this movie Justin and Mila made me stop thinking of them as Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis and start caring about Jamie and Dylan.
The other thing that really brought this movie up a level were the small cameo/supporting characters in the movie. Opening up with Emma Stone and Andy Samberg as the two main characters boyfriend and girlfriend breaking up with them was great. Then you have Jason Segal and Rashida Jones(Of The Office and Parks and Rec Fame) play the main characters in a terrible Romantic movie the main charters watch and refer to through to the movie. Richard Jenkins as Dylan's Dad with Alzheimer's really added another level to Dylan that made you feel for him and care for him. Lastly Woody Harrelson really stole the scene when ever he was on screen as the gay sports editor for GQ. He also had the best line of the entire movie that really summed life and love, "It's not who spend Friday night with, it's who you want to spend all day Saturday with." I thought how appropriate that was as I laid on the couch with my wife on a Saturday night watching this movie.
All in all this movie isn't going to win any awards but it is a solid little movie with some good acting and great on screen chemistry. If you like Romantic Comedies like me this should go up near the top of your Netflix cue.
I give it 3 out of 4 stars!

Movie Review
January 21st
Today was a good day for food, I did some cleaning exercise again but over all it was just a great day!
I got up around 9 and had a few pieces of toast with some cinnamon butter. We bought the cinnamon butter awhile back and this was the first time I had used it. it was really good and I look forward to using it again. I had a glass of juice and watched some TV while I ate my toast.
After breakfast I did some cleaning for the open house. I cleaned both bathroom counters, and toilets. The bulk of my work was cleaning the shower in our master bathroom. I had cleaned a few months back but it needed another good cleaning. That took me a little while to do but it looked really nice.
After I got done cleaning I started making supper. I had laid out some hamburger earlier that was thawed out now so I started browning it in the microwave while I added all the other components to the pot for chili. I got everything put together and started simmering it on the stove at about 11:45.
For lunch we made sandwiches. I toasted my bread and had some mustard, mayo, roast beef and cheese on my sandwich. I also had some Buffalo Ranch Doritios with my sandwich.
Then we settled in and spent the rest of the day doing laundry, tending to the simmering chili and getting caught up on TV from our full DVR. I had a sleeve of Oreos during the day with a glass of milk but that was it. We got caught up on Top Chef, 90210, Once Upon A Time and Chuck.
We started watching the last episode of chuck we had at about 6:45 and we had supper while we watched it. The chili had been simmering for about 7 hours and about 6:15 I had put some cinnamon rolls in the oven. I had two bowls of chili and 5 cinnamon rolls. I know that was to many cinnamon rolls but they were just so good and went so well with the chili on a cold night. That really filled me up so I didn't have anymore to eat while we watched our Netflix movie Friends With benefits staring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. The review for that is coming up next.
Over all it was an OK day for eating and exersie but as I said before it was a great over all day spending time with my wonderful wife!

January 20th
Today was an OK day eating and I some of that cleaning exercise I talked about a few weeks back.
Standerd morning with juice, oatmeal and a cup of coffee. I had second cup of coffee on the way to work then. When I got to work I forgot my coffee cup in the car so that was my last coffee of the day.
Mid morning my boss had brought in some doughnuts day so I was a bad boy and had a raspberry filled doughnut and an apple fritter. I should have only had one, or had a bagle that she brought in but I had not seen a doughnut in awhile and I caved. Then around 11 they Fitness Friday down in the break room. This is where they come in and have some snacks and talk about a healthy topic. This months topic was water and hydration. They had some of these flavor packs and bottles of water you could put them in along with some oranges. I took a bottle of water and used the orange flavor pack and grabbed some orange slices. The orange slices were really good and juice. The flavor packets were so so. They made the water taste like watered down Kool-Aid and really made me crave some real Kool-Aid.
At lunch I had a ham and cheese hot pocket, a yoghurt, a string cheese and a snickers I had picked up at Wal-Greens the night before.
I got a text from our relator this morning that someone wanted to come look at our house at 7 tonight so when I got home I spent a little over an hour cleaning the house. I cleaned the kitchen dusted all the fans in the house. I dusted the entire house, I took out the trash, I cleaned up the laundry room, I cleaned cob webs off the ceiling and I cleaned the cats litter pan. It was a lot of work and I am going to count it as exercise.
After Sara got home I loaded the cat up and we left about 6:45 to let the people look at the house. We needed to make a run to Wal-Greens because they forgot to give me some drugs when I picked them up earlier in the week. Well they guy I need to talk to wasn't there so I get to make another stop there on Monday after work. While I was in there I grabbed a bottle of milk for me, a pop for my wife and some snickers for us since we were hungry and had to wait until after the showing to make supper. After we got done at Wal-Greens we drove over to the school across the street from our house and sat in the parking lot until about 8 then headed back home. The lights that we had left on when we left were off so we knew they had been there.
For supper we made Philly Cheese steaks. or at least a close facsimile. I cooked some thin steaks in a frying pan on the stove, I know that is not the healthiest way to cook steaks but it was ten degrees out side so I was not going to cook them on the grill. Then I threw in a chopped onion and some mushrooms with them. When the steaks were cooked I cut them in to thin strips and then miked back in with mushroom and onions. Next I used the mixture to make my self two phillys on hoggie buns we had bought. I also put some cheese and BBQ sauce on the phillys. I finished off the bad of Garden Salsa Sun Chips from the other night with my phillys.
Then we headed to bed around 10 and watched the 2011 World's Strongest Man finals we had recorded. We very excited to see the end and American Brian Shaw pulled out the win. Way to go USA!

Janaury 19th
Once again a good day for eating but still no exercise. I am trying to find a time and routine to get into for exercise but I have yet to find something that will work.
I woke up and made my morning oatmeal and drank some coffee and juice with it. Then had a few more cups of coffee before lunch.
For lunch I had a Ham and Cheese hot pocket, a string cheese, a yoghurt and a granola bar. Over all not a bad lunch.
Between getting off of work and class I went to the computer lab at school and worked on some homework that isn't do for a few weeks. It is weird to feel like I am so ahead of the game this quarter. I spent the whole time trying to figure out how to compare two lists of students and identify witch students had changed, been added, and removed between the new and old list. I finally got it to work out by creating two loops that compared the lists. It works right so that is good but I still don't feel it is the most efficient way to do it. I have a few more weeks and a few more ideas to try to get it to be more efficient but if push comes to shove what I have will work and I can turn it in if I needed to.
In class we finally learned how to raise an event in a program. It is the last piece of the puzzle for my horse race program I started last weekend. I am hoping to apply that logic to the horse race program this weekend and be done with it.
After class I headed home and we were going to make bacon and eggs but by the time I stopped at WalGreens to pick up a few things and then got home and showered we were both starving so we decided to make a bag of pizza rolls instead. probably not the healthiest food in the world but it was faster then making bacon. I also had some Garden Salsa Sun Chips while I was waiting for the pizza rolls to cook. I don;t know how many I ate I just know that the bag was about half empty when I was done. I probably shouldn't have eaten so man chips but I really was starving. After supper I didn't have anything else so that made the chips a little bit better.

Pretty uneventful day. I didn't exercise but I did eat good.
I got up had my morning coffee, juice and oatmeal. Then I had a few more cups of coffee on the way to and at work the rest of the morning. I do put creamer in my coffee but I try to keep it to a minimum. I am slowly working my way to drinking black coffee. :)
At lunch I had frozen mac and cheese dinner. It was not very good and I did not finish it. I also had a string cheese and a yoghurt. I had bought two dark chocolate Snickers at WalGreens last night and had planned on having one for lunch today and one tomorrow. After the highly disappointing mac an cheese dinner I ended up eating both of them. Not the best choice but I was still hungry and didn't have any other options.
At home we made dried beef chicken. You cook some chicken in the oven then when it is getting near being done you put some dried been on top of it and then some mozzarella cheese over the dried beef. It is pretty easy to make and really good. I did over cook the chicken a little but it still tasted good and you didn't notice the dryness as much when you dipped it in some Sweet baby Ray's BBQ sauce.
After supper I had the last Christmas tree cake while we watched some TV.

January 17th
Pretty boring day with good eating and no exercise. I did stay up to late as well but I will cover that later.
In the morning I got up and had a bowl of Oatmeal, a glass of juice and a cup of coffee. I am not going to speculate on how much coffee I had today but I filled my cup up multiple times before lunch.
For lunch I had a cheese and rice frozen dinner, a string cheese, a granola bar and a yoghurt. I also brought the left over Jalapeño Jack Sun chips and finished them off as well. I once again suppressed the urge to get anything from the vending machine during lunch.
I didn't eat anything between lunch and class today. I just spent my time at school working on one of my next assignments. I got a lot of it done it just needs a little tweaking.
After class I had to grab some drugs(Prescription kind not illegal kind, come on what kind of person do you think I am) at Wal-Greens on my way home. I also bought some Snickers Bars as a treat to put in my wife and my lunches for tomorrow. I had to get three because they were on sale. I was pretty happy with my self because I suppressed my urge to eat the third one and decided to wait and have it at lunch one day this week.
After Wal-Greens I stopped at Runza and got my wife and I each a Temperature Tuesday deal(only seventeen cents for the Runzas today!). I kept them at the medium size and got a lemon aide to drink.
After supper I had a Christmas Tree cake and then stayed up to late watching the World's Strongest Man competition we had recorded on the DVR in our bedroom with my wife. But it was totally worth staying up late to spend some quality time with my wonderful wife.

January 16th
Today was bad for exercise decent for food. That sounds like a recurring them but I am really going to start trying to change that to good on exercise and food.
I was running a little behind this morning so I decided to stop and grab some breakfast at McDonalds on my way to work. I got an Egg McMuffin meal and found out that I also got a second free Egg McMuffin. That was a pleasant surprise. So I had two egg McMuffins, a coffee and a hash brown for breakfast.
For Lunch I had a Chipolte Chicken hot pocket, a yoghurt, a string cheese and a granola bar. I was able to successfully suppress my urge for a candy bar today!
When I got home we were going to go look at houses at 5 so we had decided to eat after we got home from that. I had a bit of a irritating/stressful/annoying/bad day at work so I grabbed a bag of chips and munched on a few of those and had a Christmas tree cake before we left to look at houses.
We went and looked at four houses and we liked two of them so 50% on the night was pretty good.
The first house looked nice in pictures but it was a little rough on the inside. It was a forcloser so it didn't surprise me that most of the appliances were gone. What did surprise me was that through out the entire up stairs of this split level every baseboard had been removed. Then in the basement there was a bright pink bathroom that was a turn off right away. Then there were all of these little boxy rooms. We think judging by their size and wired outlets in the rooms that they might have been used as a Grow House. With all of the problems with this house and the price it was removed from the list of houses we like.
The second house we looked at was a small two bedroom house but you could tell the person had taken the time to care about the house. It had all new windows upstairs and all wood floors upstairs. They had redone the kitchen and it was very nice with new appliances. The basement had a family room, a laundry room, a furnace room and a storage room. It all laid out very nicely and there was a lot of usable space down there. The part of the house I really liked was the outdoor areas. Off the back door it had a nice large wooden deck. Then on the side of the one stall garage it had a large covered patio. The garage was one stall but it had a half stall work area in it and was very deep. Then the drive way was two cars wide and at least two cars deep, maybe three cars deep. Over all we really liked this house and it climbed to near the top of our list.
The Third House we saw another split level. It was an OK house but it felt like it needed some work and it just didn't feel like a house we could make out own. So we removed the house from our list as well.
The last house we looked at was like 3 blocks from our current house. It was a two story town home with a basement. It was actually a little larger then our current house but since it was in foreclosure it was very cheap. We really liked it and it went to the to of list until we found out the next day that it had sold.
After we got done with the last house we made a short trip home. For supper we made sandwiches and had chips. I toasted my bread and had mustard, mayo, roast beef and mozzarella cheese on my sandwich. It was very tasty and went will with some spicy Jalapeño Jack Sun Chips we had. After supper I had a Christmas tree cake and then a few M&M's before I went to bed.

January 15th
Today I got a fair bit of exercise and did a pretty good job eating. I would call it a good day all in all.
I didn't have any breakfast because we were getting the final touches on the house before we had our open house. I have always read that house work counts as exercise so I am going to count that as a little. The open house went pretty well. We had 7 groups of people come through so hopefully one of the groups will want to buy it.
After we got the house cleaned up we dropped the cat off at my sisters house and grabbed a bite to eat at Wendy's before we went to look at some open houses. I had a spicy asiago chicken sandwich, large fries and a frosty. I love frostys so I have to large size me meal to get a larger frosty. Not the healthiest meal but I could have done worse I guess.
My main exercise came from the fact that we couldn't park in front of almost any houses we looked at. On the bright side we saw one house that we really liked and a few others that were nice.
The first house we looked at was a spilt level nut it had a lot of room in it for a split level. The up stairs was nice. It had three bedroom and and a bathroom. It also had a nice deck off the dinning area. We liked the new wood floors through out the entire upstairs living areas as well. The only down side was that the house needed a lot of paint. There was a pink and a blue bedroom. Also all the cabinets in the kitchen were a dark pink color. The down stairs had a nice large family room, a fourth bedroom/office, and a laundry/bathroom. It was very nice and much larger then I expected. The living area downstairs was red but I kind of liked it. The back yard was a nice size and it had a shed witch I like. It also head a Hot Tub. It didn't say anything about the hot tub staying in the info on the house but I would try to work it into the offer of the house.
The second house we saw was a smaller 2 bedroom. It had been worked on but it just didn't feel like it would fit us. The price was a little high and it was on a busy street with no street parking so we took it off the list of houses we like.
The next house we looked at was a cute little 2 bedroom house. This one we had to park about 2 blocks away from so we got a walk in on the way there and back. It was a cute little house with a nice little eat in kitchen. It had two bedrooms and a bathroom that was nice. Some had done a little work to the house but not a lot. The basement was clean and unfinished. It had a nice little back yard and a very small garage that was on a kind of busy street. We didn't totally throw this house out because we liked the area and it was cute but it is not in the love pile of houses either.
The next house was by far the worst of the day. It was very small upstairs with no updating at all. But the basement was the killer. Some one had finished the ceilings in it so low that I had to duck in most of the basement to walk around. And the stairs to the basement were so vertical I felt like I was going to fall down them and I had to bear crawl up them. Needless to say this one went in the trash pile before we even got out of the house.
The last house we looked at was nice little house on a busy street. We kind of liked this house because it had some nice updating in the kitchen and all new windows through out the entire house. The basement had been finished a long time ago and would need some work to make it a usable space again but there was a lot of room down there with an extra bathroom as well. It was right across the street from the local play house and a library so that would be very fun to live at. It also had a cement pad to turn your car around on in the back yard next to the garage so you didn't have to back out onto the busy street it was on. Over all we liked the house but it went in the like pile not the love pile.
After we got done looking at houses we picked up the cat from my sisters and headed home. When I got home I laid on the couch and got caught up on some of my TV fro the last few weeks. It made for a nice relaxing day. I did do some munching while I laid on the couch. I had a few glasses of milk, a sleeve of Oreos(That was bad) and then I munched on some pistachio nuts for awhile. So I probably should have not done the sleeve of Oreos but the nuts aren't to bad for me.
Finally about seven thirty we made some rice with chicken and mushrooms for supper. It is a nice simple meal and neither of us were starving so it worked out well. Then we turned in early and got started watching the 2011 World's Strongest Man we had recorded all of on Saturday evening. It is a guilty pleasure show we watch every year.
So over all we did a lot of walking to houses and around houses so I am going to say I got a pretty good amount of exercise today and other then the Oreos I did a good job eating as well.

Movei Review for Larry Crowne
Larry Crowne was a cute movie with some heart that had a special place in my heart. Having lost my job in the last year, decided to go back to school part time and selling my house I could some what connect with Larry.
As you can guess Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts were great in their respective rolls. Tom hanks made Larry believable as a guy who was down on his luck but I liked the eternal optimism and hope he made Larry have even when he was at the bottom. I could really identify with that because I felt like that at time in the last year. Julia Roberts played a great women in a unhappy marriage who finally decides to leave and move on. Neither of these parts were ground breaking oscar winning roles but they each played the character to perfection as you would expect from two great actors.
The person who stole the movie for me was George Takei as Larry's Econ professor Dr. Ed Matsutani. His maniacal laugh and pompous over top attitude made me laugh almost every time he was on screen.
Over all this was a movie about how a person can turn their life around no matter what. It also showed just because you are down on your luck doesn't mean you can't have a good out look on life and that good things can happen to you.
I recommend adding this to your Netflix cue and if you have a had a rough go at life recently maybe push it up towards the top.
I gave this two and a half stars out of 4.

Janaury 15th Weigh In
I weighed myself on the morning of Sunday January 15th and I weighed 321lbs. That means that I lost another pound last week. I am very happy with this. I need to keep this up and I will be hitting my goal of 310 pounds in a few months.

January 14th
Today I didn't eat a lot so that was good but I also didn't get much exercises either.
We were up late on Friday night but we still for some reason got up at around 8:30 on Saturday morning. After we got up I took the Apple dessert pizza, or as we will now being calling it the apple breakfast pizza, I bought last night and made that for breakfast while we got caught up on The Bachelore from last week. I know it is a terrible show but it is just to much of a train wreck not to watch, it is like a comedy with real people. Any way I ate more of the breakfast pizza then i probubaly should have but there was only one piece left and I thought it was dumb to throw it away and pt it in the fridge. I also had two glasses of juice with it.
After the Bachelor my wife said lets go lay down and take a cat nap. I said sure I was a little tired. Well we laid down at about 10:45 and wife instantly fell asleep. I was having trouble falling asleep so I decided to get up. I figured she was going to be up an around an hour so I thought I would work on some home work from my next assignment in class until she got up. The program we had to write from scratch was a horse race. We have to read n a file of horses and then soem how display the rce on the screen. There are some other components to the program that we have not learned how to do in class yet but there was a lot of leg work that neede to be done around the program so I thought I would get some of that started. Well I started going and next thing I knew I was almost done with the leg work, it was almost 3:00 pm and my wife was still napping. I realized all of this because my Mom had called to talk about some plans for going out tonight. Luckly the phone call woke my wife up so we were able get some house work done that we needed to get done before our Open House on Sunday before we had to leave to go out to eat with my family but needless to say we did not have any lunch.
We were going out for my Sister's and her Husbands birthdays. My wife and I decided to head over to my sisters house and ride to the restaurant with them and their kids rather then both of us driving our cars all the way across town to Shogun Japaneses Seafood and Steak House and back to their place after. If you don;t know what Shogun is it is one of those restaurants where they cook in front of you and put on kind of a show about it. I am a huge fan of it my wife thinks it is over priced. I will agree it is expensive but hey you are getting a fun show plus it is the kind of place you only go to once in a great while. They started us out with a little salad with their signature dressing. i don't know what the dressing is but i love it. The we had a little bowl of mushroom soup that is basically broth, a few slices of mushroom, some green onion and a few noodles. It was very good. Next my Brother In-Law had ordered a Nebraska Sushi roll that i had two pieces of. Then the cook came out and made our main course. I had Fried rice, Vegetables, Medium Rare Filet Mignon and scallops. I also caught a shrimp in my mouth! At the end of the meal they brought an pineapple bought for the birthdays we were celebrating and took a picture of all of us. Over all not a healthy meal but not an unhealthy meal either.
After we ate we went back to my Sisters house and my Mom had gotten my Dad some gifts for his retirement. My Dad just retired from his job after working there for almost forty years. I think he is very happy to be retired. Then we got out a bottle champagne and all of us adults made a toast to my Dad's retirement.
After we got home from my sisters we cleaned teh floors for the open house. I mopped the kitchen floors while my wife vacuumed all the floors. Then we had some coupons for a dollar off of blizzards so we ran to DQ after we showered and each got a blizzard. I got a medium Chocolate Xtreme blizzard and it was awesome as usual. Then we came home got in our PJ's and cuddled up in bed to watch a movie. We had the movie Larry Crowne and it was pretty good, you can see my review on here soon.

No exercise and a little over eating at lunch an in the evening makes for not the best day. On the bright side I did have a little fun in the evening.
For breakfast I had a glass of juice, a cup of coffee and a bowl of oatmeal. I also had a cup of coffee on my way to work.
At lunch I had a Chipolte Chicken Hot pocket. The thing was lava hot on the inside and I burned the roof of my mouth on my first bite. After that I had a string cheese, a yoghurt, a Twix and an ice cream sandwich. I had forgotten my granola bar so I poorly replaced it with a Twix. Then I couldn't pass up the Ice Cream that was sitting there today. I really need to work on my self control around the vending machines at work. Next week my goal is to not have a single thing from the vending machines at lunch. We will see how I do.
For super we had a friend over to play some games. I grabbed some Papa Murphy's on the way home. I bought a Cheese Bread, a Large peperoni Pizza, a Large Chicken Parmesan Delight Pizza and a Apple dessert pizza. We ended up only making the Cheese bread and the two pizzas. I had three pieces of each kind of pizza and I don;t know how much cheese bread while the three of us sat around the table chatting about random stuff. We hadn't seen out friend in awhile so we had some catching up to do. The after we cleared the table off we got out one of our favorite board games, Ticket to Ride. If you don;t now what Ticket to Ride is I recommend checking it out if you enjoy board games, and really who doesn't enjoy board games. So anyway while we were playing ticket to ride we had out a couple of bowl of M&M's that our friend had brought and we all were munching on them all night. Our friend had also brought some pop, witch I do not drink. That is unless it is mixed with alcohol. Well he had brought a two liter of Root Beer and I had been craving some Root Beer and Cake Vodka. It is such a yummy drink. All you do is put in a shot of UV Cake Vodka and then fill the glass up with ice and root beer. It tastes just like a root beer dumb dumb. I had two glasses of that while we were playing early. Apparently UV Cake Vodka makes me better at ticket to ride because I won the first game we played. After that I was getting a little tired because I am still adjusting to my 7-4 work schedule so I made a pot of coffee. I had a few cups of coffee while we played two more games of ticket to ride. Coffee isn't as helpful to me at Ticket to Ride apparently because I got second place both of those games. After that we were going to play a game our friend had brought be we all three got caught up chatting about stuff and it got to late for another game and he headed home.
So it might not have been the best day health wise but it was nice to catch up with a friend and play some games.

January 12th
Wow was it cold today and that equals no exercises for me. Food I did pretty good on though.
In the morning I got up and had a glass of juice, a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of coffee. Then on the way to work I had another cup of coffee.
For Lunch I had another package of the pizza pockets like I did earlier in the week. I had a youghrt, a string cheese, a granola bar and a Twix. I was happt I only got one candy bar out of the vending machine so that was good.
Towards the end of the day I was getting hungry and I new I would not be eating until after class so I grabbed a snickers bar from the vending machine at work and had that on my drive to class.
The last two classes I had been walking out side before class because it was so nice. Today it was not nice at all. The temperature was around ten degrees and it was accompanied by a fifteen to twenty mile per hour wind. Instead I opted to go to the computer lab and work on my home work that was due next Thursday. We had to take a program from last quarter and modify it. I was a little worried about it. From the description he had given us it sounded like it could be hard. He did give us an example program that did something smiler but the same. So I checked in to the computer lab and got dug into what I needed to do. Happily once I started really examining the sample he gave us I was able to figure out how to apply it to our homework pretty fast. It only took me about an hour to get the program modified and working they way we need it to. That made me pretty happy because it meant that I had learned and retained the knowledge from last quarter. Also I was still able to figure out how a program works and apply it to something new like I use to do all the time at my old job. It really pushed me even further toward the idea that programming is what I really like and I need to get back to it.
After class I came home and we had tastees and chips and a jar of cheese dip.
Over all it was a pretty good food day, a poor exercise day and a good programming day.

Movie Review For Super 8
This was a solid Sci Fi Fantasy Movie. I had heard some one say that it had a Goonies meets E.T. feel to it and it was created by JJ Abrams so I though how could I go wrong. It lacks the Heart at the core of E.T. and lacks the overall adventure and action of Goonies but I would say they are pretty good comparisons for this movie. It is not nearly as good as either of those movies but it is in the same vein as them and worth watching.
I was pleasantly surprised by the acting in this movie. I knew that Kyle Chandler was a good actor from watch Friday Night Lights TV show. I also assumed that Elle Fanning would be pretty good based on what her sister has done. But the rest of the kids in the cast did a great job of playing their parts and keeping me interested in the film and the characters that it effected.
Over all I would say this is a solid movie that is a throw back to the mid 80's child adventure movies that is worth adding to your Netflix cue.
Over All I give this Movie 3 out of 4 stars.

January 11th
Today was an OK day for food and a not to good day for exercise. It also so the sweet tooth rear its ugly head again at lunch. I really need to get that guy under control.
I got up and had a bowl of oatmeal, a glass of juice and a cup of coffee for breakfast. I also had a cup of coffee on my way to work as well.
For lunch I had a meatloaf frozen dinner that was really tasty. Then I had my yoghurt, string cheese and granoal bar. Then Mr. sweet tooth attacked and I had a Twix and a Ice cream sandwich form the vending machines.
For supper We had left over tastee sandwiches we had made a month ago and froze. I had three sandwiches on hamburger buns with mustard and pickles on each. I also had some left over dip from Sunday with tortilla chips and a glass of read wine. Then I had my left over pieces of Kugan for desert. Over all not a bad supper.
After supper while we were watching some TV I got a little hungry and made a bag of microwave popcorn and had a glass of water. I probably shouldn't have done that since it was 8:30 but I guess I could have been worse.
As you may have noticed there was no mention of exercise. I did do some dishes, cleaned the kitty litter pan, washed the kitty water bowl and gave the kitty water and food when I got home. I was really tired though and didn't feel like exercising after all of that.

Today I didn't eat the best but I did get in some exercise. So it was a semi successful day.
For breakfast I got up and had a bowl of oatmeal a glass of juice and a cup of coffee. I also had another cup of coffee on my way to work then.
For lunch I had some four meat pizza pockets I made in the microwave. The I also had a yoghurt, a string cheese and a granola bar. Then my Sweet tooth attacked again and I had two Twix bars. That was not a good thing but I am going to work on keeping the sweet snacks down to a minimum.
After work I had class and it was so nice out I went for a thirty minute walk around the parking lots outside.
After class I stopped and grabbed the temperature Tuesday deal at Runza and I also had a bowl of cauliflower cheese soup with my meal.

Today was not the best food or exercise wise. We went out looking at houses in the evening so that contribute to the down fall of both but we did see some nice houses.
I slept in and did not have breakfast just a cup of coffee on the way to work.
For lunch I ate way to much food. I had a hot pocket that I brought with me from home because I had left my lunch at work last Friday. Then I had my string cheese and granola bar from last Friday. I also had my frozen dinner that was in my lunch from last Friday as well. It was Buffalo Snackers. The real problem came when I found a snickers bar that I had put in my lunch bag some time last week. I ate that and it gave me a sweet tooth and so I got a Twix from the vending machine.
For supper we grabbed some taco Bell on our way home from looking at houses. I had a cheese gordita crunch, 2 hard shell tacos and a Frito crunchy burrito. I was a little pleased with my self because I did suppress the urge to get two more crunchy tacos.
I did get a little exercise walking through houses when we went out top look at houses. We saw 4 houses but one of them had sold that day so we didn't get to go in it. We liked two of the tree houses so it was a pretty good night.
The first house was small but nice. The big draw back to it a very small kitchen and almost no existent dinning room. But the living room and bed rooms were a nice size and the basement was very nice with a nonconforming bedroom/office in it, a large family room and a nice laundry/storage room. The real positive of the house was the main floor bathroom. It was filled ceiling to floor with a beautiful shower and nice vanity sink in it. The house was a little high priced for it's size but it is staying on the list of houses we like.
The second house was a bust. The picture on-line showed a ice living room and the living room was very nice but the rest of the house was in need of some serious work. One of the bedrooms had geometric shapes painted all over the room with matching curtains. There were a lot over things wrong with the house but lets just say it wasn't the house for us.
The third house was a multi level house and we liked it a lot. The living room and kitchen were on one level together. The living room had all nice hard wood floors and was very large. The kitchen was large with lots of cabinets and counters and plenty of room for a table. The upper level had three bedrooms and a bathroom. The bathroom upstairs did not have a shower so that would have to be something we would put in, but there was a shower in the basement so it was not a house killer. The three bedrooms all had wood floors and were a nice size. The third bedroom had a small door in the wall that opened into a huge attic crawl space above the living room that would be great for storage. There was another level that you cam in to on the front door that had a door to the basement, a door to the attached garage and a door in to a bonus room that would work great for games or crafts. Finally in the basement there was a bathroom with a shower and then room for storage and the washer and dryer. The only draw back to the house was that it was on a busy street. But it was on a corner so that was nice. Also it had an alley at the back of the property that you could easily put a cement slab or garage on at some point so you could park off the street.
The forth house looked nice in the pictures but as I said before we did not get to see the inside because when we got there it had a sold sign in the yard.

January 8th
Today I ate poorly and got little exercise but it was still a good day.
I got up and weighed myself first thing as you can see from the previous post. Then I finished doing some dishes and getting the hose ready for the open house we had today. I didn't make any coffee or have any breakfast today because I knew I would be eating plenty the rest of the day.
After the house was ready to go and we had made some dip in the crock pot we loaded the kitty up in the cat carrier, much to her dismay, and headed out to my parents house to spend the day with my Dad's family for their Christmas get together. We don't do gifts or anything with them any more it is just a time to get together and see every one and eat some good food. It was a soup day and my aunt and uncle bough bread bowls for every one. There were three kinds of soup and I had two of them. First I had the Potato Bacon Wild Rice soup that my brother in-law brought in a bread bowl then after I got all the soup out of the bowl I filled it back up with some home made chicken noodle soup that my cousins wife made. Both the sups were really good and the bread bowl helped to make each of them just a little better and a little more fun to eat out of. I also had some Fuehrer's Cheespread, some shrimp dip, some crackers and some banana bread with my soup.
After lunch is when the fun ensued. There were a number of delouse deserts but nothing can compare to the Kugans that my uncle brought from Sutton on his way to Mom and Dads. Kugan if you have never had it is like a custard fruit pie. It is so good and they make them at a bakery in my Dad's home town. Usually people eat them fast so I had a piece as soon as I got done with lunch. Then I noticed a little while later there was still some left. Well I figured I don't get kugan that often s I grabbed another piece. then after I got back inside from playing wiht all the little kids there was STILL some left. Well I was hungry from playing out side so I grabbed one more piece. The who would have thought it but at end of the day when we were getting ready to go home there was still some left. I couldn't believe it. So I had my Mom put some on a plate for me and I took it home to have later this week as a treat.
So I did get a little exercise playing out side with all the little kids but over all the day consisted of a lot of eating and not much else. But hey I lost a pound this week so I am pretty happy with myself still.

January 8th Weigh In
I weighed myself on the morning of Sunday January 8th and I weighed 323lbs. That means that I lost a pound last week. I am very happy with this. I didn;t eat the best and did very little exercise and I still lost a pound. It just goes to show that keeping a food diary helps. I have to think about everything I eat and it helps me make better decisions.

Weigh In
January 7th
Today I ate pretty good and kind of did some exercise, I will explain the kind of in a little more detail later. Over all it was a pretty good day health wise.
I slept in a little and didn't get up until after my wife left for work. after laying in bed for a little while checking my face book I got up and had a bowl of double oatmeal(two packages of oatmeal in a bowl), a glass fo juice and a cup of coffee. The double oatmeal did not work out well. It took longer then I expected to make and then when it was cooking the microwave it boiled over and made a mess in the microwave. So i learned my lesson there double oatmeal is not a good idea.
After I ate breakfast I got t my kind of exercise of the day. I spent the 3 hours working my butt off cleaning the house. We are having a open house on Sunday(1/8) and we had let the house go during the holiday break/my wife being sick the last few weeks. So I cleaned the kitchen top to bottom, dishes, counters, stove top and floor. Then I dusted and vacuumed every room in the house. I gave each of the bathrooms a much need scrubbing after a few weeks of neglect. Lastly I went down stars changed out the kitty litter, cleaned up a spot she puked on the floor and vacuumed up all of her fur that was on the floors. I must say doing all of that by myself in one day was very exhausting. But it will all be worth it when someone buys this house.
When my wife got home we each had a bowl of the last of the left over chicken fried rice for lunch and I had a glass of water with it.
As we were finishing up lunch my wife's parents came. My wife and her Mom were going to get some massages that I had bought for them off Groupon for Christmas last year and her Dad and their friend Darleen(Darleen is like Family she is around so much, in fact she is actually my father in-laws cousin so she is family) were hanging out at our place. So we watched some football on TV and chatted. They had brought some left over cake that they had at their house so the three of us at home divided it up and finished it. It was a red velvet cake with a cream cheese frosting. It was really good. Then we watched a movie until my wife and mother in-law got home. We watched Fast Five that I got for Christmas. I had sen it already so I am not going to do a full review of it. I will just say that the Fast and Furious movies are my guilty pleasure movies and if you like the series you will like this movie.
After my wife and mother in-law got home we went out to eat with my in-laws before they headed home. We went to Dickey's Barbecue Pit down on 27th and Cornhusker. My wife and I had been there a few times before and it was really good. I had the smoked pulled pork and spicy cheddar sausage with fried okra and jalapeno backed beans. They also have a big jar of those large pickles there so I had one of those and then I had two little ice cream cones for dessert. I was stuffed but very satisfied.
After we got home we did a little more house work to get ready for the open house. Then we showered and watched a movie in our bed before going to sleep. The BBQ was so filling I didn't even have a inclination to eat something during the movie. Of course being under all of my covers next to my beautiful wife might have contributed t my not wanting to leave the bed to get anything.

January 6th
Today was a pretty good day. I had some good food moments and some fun so I am happy with the day.
To start things off I had a cup of coffee, a glass of juice and a bowl of oatmeal. i was pretty happy that I got myself in a routine where I should be able to eat breakfast most days. I haven't had oatmeal in a long time. It was really good and hit the spot on a cool morning.
For lunch I did take a frozen dinner and some other stuff but all of that fell out the window when I heard about the free big mac deal. Tim, my co worker, made a comment about how he was going to get a free big mac at McDonalds for lunch. Well of course I had to inquire further as to what he meant. He said that if you bought a Big Mac meal today(1/6) you got a free big mac. Well I couldn't pass that up. So I gave Tim a ten dollar bill and told him to get a second Big Mac meal and free big mac for me. So for lunch I had two Big macs and a medium fry. I was proud of one thing in the whole Free Big Mac situation. I did not tell ti what to get me to drink so he got me a medium coke. I haven't had a pop in over a year as you know but I didn't know what to do here. I didn't want to just throw it away and I felt a little ungrateful telling Tim he made a mistake so i thought about drinking it. Then I thought why would I ruin my pop streak over this. So I gave the coke back to Tim and told he could have it and gave a brief explanation as to why I didn't want it placing the blame on my self for not telling him what I wanted to drink.
When I got home from work I had a few bakers chocolates that were inn the pantry while I did some cleaning.
For supper we had a After Christmas party with my department from work at a coworkers house. We had appetizers of seven layer taco dip, stuffed peppers, hummus, spinach dip, and goat cheese. Then we had tacos, meatballs and little smokies to eat. The to top it off we had some brownies and cookies. I had a little bit of every thing but I was pretty happy with my self that I did not stuff my self or over eat. It is so much easier to not eat like a pig when you are surrounded by people that you actually don't want thinking you eat like a pig. LOL
Then in a nonfood thing to top the night off there with Dirty Santa Grab Bag Gift Swap. It was really fun. There were a few gifts that I really liked. One of them was a six pack of Hopluia pints. I have never had the beer but the person who brought them assured me that they were very good. I had them for awhile but got them stolen from me late. I did end up with two very large New York Strip steaks that I am not going to complain about. I can always go to the store and find a pint of Holuia beer to have with the steaks.

January 5th
Today I had success in exercising and moderate success in eating! I say things went pretty darn well.
Lets start with the exercising. It helped that it was 68 degrees on January 5th. I went straight from work to Class last night. I have class at 6 and I get off work at 4 so I had some time to kill once I got to school. So I just walked out side in a loop around the parking lots for about 40 minutes. It felt really good to walk and it was just so nice out! In other exercise news I saw that at school they are going to have an exercise class on Tuesday and Thursday at 5 p.m. starting on the 17th. I am going to start doing that and hope that I get to keep my 7-4 shift at work next month and in March as well.
Food I did pretty good with today. I had my coffee on the way to work and another coffee at work.
Lunch was a little hiccup but not to bad. I had a frozen Santa Fe Rice meal, A yogurt, a granola bar, a string cheese and then an ice cream sandwich from the vending machine. The ice cream sandwich was a bad thing but ice cream is so my kryptonite. It sucks that they have a vending machine full of ice cream in our lunch room. I am just going to have to work on my restraint, and keep less cash in my wallet. :)
With classes at 6:00 that means I don;t eat supper until I get home from class. I know that eating at 8:30 is not good for you but I don;t have another option. My goal is to eat a later supper on those nights but last night was left over chicken fried rice. I had two bowls of chicken fried rice and 8 mini egg rolls. The only upside to eating at 8:30 is that it leaves me no time to much on things after supper because I watch a little TV then pretty much just go to bed.

Review Of Captain America: The First Avenger
Last night we watched Captain America: The First Avenger.
Marvel got back on track with their movies with Captain America: The First Avenger. It did a very good job of bridging the World War 2 origin of Captain america to the modern day so we as an audience are ready for The Avengers this summer(2012).
Over all the story was good and the action kept the movie going at a nice pace. The beginning may have been a little slow but they do a good job of setting Steve Rodgers up as an underdog you want to root for. Sure it was a little predictable but they had enough fun and action to make me not worry about that. The little love story they threw in there was nice and didn't take anything away from the movie, in fact it may haven even added a little something for the romantics out there.
The real amazing part of this is the CGI. They did a great job making the brawny Chris Evans look like a short scrawny guy from Brooklynn. Also the CGi to make x look like the Red Skull was great. He was just creepy enough not to give kids terrible nightmares.
In the end the point of this movie was to set up The Avengers and make you want to go see it. It did it;s job very well. I already wanted to see The Avengers but this got just a little more excited for it come out.
I give this movie 3 out of 4 stars.

January 4th
Over all a better day. Still no exercises but I did eat better and I actually did some stuff around the house.
I think I can get used to this getting off at 4. I got home and got supper started, emptied the dish washer, loaded the dishwasher and took out the trash all before my wife got home. Now All I need to do is work a little exercise routine in there and I will be set. Of course once I get all that set in place I will get shifted back to 8 to 5.
I had a cup of coffee on the way to work and another once I got there in the morning.
For Lunch I had a can of Chicken Gumbo soup, a yogurt, a string cheese, a granola bar, 2 bakers chocolate left over from Christmas and a twix bar.
When I got home I helped my wife make us Chicken Fried Rice and egg rolls. I had two bowls of Chicken Fried Rice and 8 mini Egg rolls. I know I should only have one bowl and half the egg rolls but my wife's chicken fried rice is just to good to pass up a second bowl of. Luck for me we made enough to have left overs tomorrow. I also had two glasses of red wine, one while making supper and one while eating.
Lastly I was a bad boy at night. I didn't have anything else to eat all evening while we watched a movie. Then when I got kicked out of bed for snoring and when to sleep on the couch I got a hunger craving and had a Christmas Tree cake before a got settled in to the couch.

January 3rd
I started a new work time today. I am now working 7 to 4 instead of 8 to 5. It is going to take a little while to get my morning routine set up again but I hope to start eating a real breakfast her in the next week. The other nice thing is it will give me time to come home and maybe do a little exercising in the evening.
My wife was still a little under the weather today so I did not exercise today at all.
In the morning I had a cup of coffee on the way to work and then I got two strawberry pop tarts out of the vending machine about mid morning.
For lunch I ran down to Amigos and got 3 crisp chicken burritos. I didn't get a Malt or a drink. I was proud of my self for that because it was the healthy and fiscally smart thing to do.
On the way home I couldn't resist grabbing some Temperature Tuesday Runza Deals for supper. I mean how can you not love two Runzas, 2 medium fries and two medium drinks for eight bucks? With my wife being sick and the house needing some cleaning it was the easy thing to do.
After supper I had the last of the Oreo cookie balls I found in the fridge. I shouldn't have done that but now that they are gone there will no longer be the temptation. I now that is flawed logic used just to eat them but hey it is still logic. LOL

One Year Pop Free
Last year I made a New Years Resolution to stop drinking pop. I had my last pop on January 1st 2011. I am pretty proud of my self that I have been able to do it. I had a bit of an addiction to pop and it was a rough year but I held strong when I felt the urge to grab a Pepsi or Mtn. Dew.
I will be honest I have some mixed drinks a few times in the last year that had cola (Jack and Cokes in Vegas)or Root Beer(UV Cake Vodka and Root Beers during football games). But I have not had a straight pop in the last twelve months.
I switched over to drinking lots of Ice Tea, Water, Coffee and Lemonade. I also found a new delicious drink called Sparkling ICE. It is a zero calorie carbonated flavoured water. I like it because it gives me a little carbonation and flavour with no calories. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a pop alternative.
Now I hope to keep this going long term. I don't see why after a year with out it I would ever need to have straight pop again.

January 2nd
I had to work on Monday but since it was so slow I got to go home a noon witch was nice. This meant I got to go home and watch the Husker Football game but it also meant that I ate more then I would have at work. Also the whole not going out to eat thing is thus far unsuccessful.
I got up and had a cup of coffee on the way to work.
Before I left work I grabbed two pieces of pizza that they brought in for people at work on the 2nd. Then my wife, who was still sick, wanted me to grab her some Wendy's for lunch. So I got her some food and got myself a Chicken sandwich, fries and frosty that I didn't really need.
During the game I ate a kit-kat and had what was left of a bag of pretzel M&M's.
For supper I was proud that I did not give in in to ordering pizza but I still over ate. I was going to make us some Mac and Cheese for supper but then it turned out that we were wrong when we thought we had some in the pantry. So I found some frozen pizzas in the freezer for us to eat. The problem is that besides the frozen pizza tasting like cardboard it also did not come close to filling me up. So after the pizza I found some Eggo waffles in the freezer and made six of them with syrup. Not really a healthy choice.
Then to top it off when I got home a planted my self on the couch for the football game and didn't proceed to exercises or do anything productive the rest of the day. So Over all not the best day but things will get better soon.
